Getting a non-breaking hyphen in Word
Posted by Tom...

Tom Supposedly, you should be able to use CTRL + hyphen to get a non-breaking hyphen. A non-breaking hyphen is a hyphen that prevents the words on either side of it from being separated due to a line break. For example, you might normally have:

I went to over to my job at 4-
H today and it was fun. I sure
do like it there!

But if you used a non-breaking hyphen, it would look like this:

I went to over to my job at
4-H today and it was fun. I
sure do like it there!

HOWEVER. I find that CTRL + Hyphen doesn't actually work. Instead, I use CTRL + SHIFT + Hyphen, and that works.
